PW1500G Thrust Control Malfunction Logic

In the PW GTF engines, there exists a TCM logic which if detects a thrust control malfunction, will shut down the engine on ground if the thrust levers are at idle or in reverse position.
In the PW fitted A320 fleet, the TCM threshold for N1 exceedance is 3% from commanded N1 and any N1 exceedance above maximum N1 value for takeoff.
This reeks of a similar incident couple of years back on an ANA B788 at Osaka which have a similar TCMA logic. (
Even the CFM Leaps have a TCMA which often catches maintenance off guard.
