Technisch ist sie trotzdem immer noch als modern anzusehen, kannste glauben. Wer mal das Vergnügen hat vorne mitzufliegen staunt nicht schlecht.

25JUL2012: OLT Express Poland closes down ATR operations from August 11

OLT Express Poland (O2, Warsaw Fryderyk Chopin (WAW)) has announced drastic network cuts today and will retire its entire ATR fleet of subsidiary OLT Express Regional (JEA, Warsaw Fryderyk Chopin (WAW)) by August 11. OLT Express Poland currently operates two ATR 42-300s and had just taken delivery of two ATR 72-200s during the last couple of days. It also wet-leases two ATR 72-500s from Swiftair (W3, Madrid Barajas (MAD)). As of August 11, it will give up its routes from Gdansk Lech Walesa (GDN) to Lodz Wladyslaw Reymont (LCJ), Poznan Lawica (POZ) and Szczecin Goleniów (SZZ), from Katowice Pyrzowice (KTW) to Poznan, Rzeszow Jasionka (RZE) and Szczecin, from Kraków John Paul II International (KRK) to Bydgoszcz Ignacy Jan Paderewski (BZG), Poznan and Szczecin as well as the route linking Warsaw Fryderyk Chopin (WAW) and Poznan. It will continue to operate domestic services with its A319-100s and A320-200 serving routes from Gdansk to Katowice, Krakow and Wroclaw Copernicus (WRO) and from Warsaw to Gdansk, Rzeszow, Szczecin and Wroclaw. It will also retain its weekly seasonal service between Poznan and Zadar (ZAD). According to statements made by the OLT Express Poland management team, its controversial owner Amber Gold is reportedly planning to sell its shares in OLT Express Germany (OL, Bremen Neuenland (BRE)) and OLT Express Poland.

The Polish civil aviation authority has meanwhile set the carrier a deadline to submit audited financial reports by the end of the month and to provide proof it is able to finance its operations.
